Australia immigration point calculation
The points system used by the Australian immigration system is designed to determine the eligibility of potential immigrants based on their qualifications, work experience, age, and language ability. The current system awards point to applicants based on the following criteria:
- Age: Up to 30 points are available for applicants aged 18-35.
- English language ability: Up to 20 points are available for level 6+ English language proficiency.
- Qualifications: Up to 15 points are available for applicants with a university degree or higher.
- Work Experience: Up to 15 points are available for applicants with at least two years of relevant work experience.
- Skilled Employment: Up to 10 points are available for applicants with skilled employment in Australia.
- Special Skills: Up to 10 points are available for applicants with special skills or qualifications that are in demand in Australia.
- Other Factors: Up to 5 points are available for other factors such as family in Australia, or study in Australia.
The total number of points needed to be eligible for immigration to Australia is 65 points.
